The author is a retired GP Practice Manager, married with two sons. He has lived in and around Bristol for over sixty years. His father was a train driver from Taunton and his mother, who was born in Italy, was a shop assistant. Both have passed away. His sister and her family live in Cornwall. He is a lover of current affairs, rugby union and cricket. He is a voracious reader of historical fiction, and a lover of all things history, particularly Dark Age British history, including Arthuriana. He was diagnosed with ADHD at the ripe old age of sixty-one.
