Andrew Bramwell was born in Walsall and educated at St Martin’s College, Lancaster and the University of Cambridge. A lifelong attachment to the history, literature and people of Finland is reflected in much of his work. This is his third novel, following Karelia and Flying Boy. Alongside articles on eighteenth-century poetry, and the Victorian novel, he is also an award-winning poet. He is currently undertaking doctoral research at St Catherine’s College, University of Oxford. He is married and lives in Shropshire.
