Hanah Farhat is travelling from London to Istanbul, hoping to rebuild her life. But a simple act of kindness after a road accident turns into a nightmare when she is kidnapped by extremists and smuggled into ISIS territory, where she is told she will become the “reward” bride of a fighter.
Elsewhere, Osman, a young Syrian, is trying to reach safety in Europe through the dangerous world of smugglers and traffickers. Along the way, he meets Mina, a young Iranian refugee, and the two form a fragile bond that gradually grows into love as they struggle to survive the journey.
Desperate to secure his son’s future, Osman’s father turns to two men he once helped – Jim, a British consultant, and his French colleague Pierre – asking them to help smuggle Osman into the UK. But their plan soon meets unexpected obstacles that test their resolve and force them into difficult choices.
As their paths unfold, the shadowy world of human trafficking – where desperation is exploited and lives become currency – begins to reveal itself.
