Since 1992, every April has been Stress Awareness Month, in the hope of shedding some light on the causes and the cures of modern stress. With nearly 74% of adults over the last year feeling stressed or unable to cope, bringing awareness to the issue is crucial.
Whilst we are already past the first week of the month, that doesn't mean you can't still participate in The 30 Day Challenge. So, if you are feeling stressed or uneasy, try following this challenge to see if it helps you.
The challenge revolves around setting yourself 3 actions every day: one each for your physical, mental and emotional wellbeing. Here are some examples:
Physical - Taking a long walk or doing some exercise
Mental - Reading a new or favourite book
Emotional - Decluttering or organizing your workspace
You can find hundreds of things to do which you can apply to this, but variety isn't always the spice of life. If you find something that you like doing, keep doing it! It normally takes 30 days for something to turn into a habit, so keep going with the challenge and you may find your whole mental wellbeing and lifestyle changes.
Now more than ever, we need to focus on our mental health and this is a great start to try and make sure you keep yourself happy and stress-free. Stress is a part of life, and we will all experience it, but it's how we deal with it, that makes the difference.
Wishing you all the best in these troubling times, and we hope this challenge benefits you in some way.
