In this special blog post, we’d like to draw your attention to one of our busiest authors.
Before the beginning of 2015, Claire Merchant had already published two novels with us – Mistry by Moonlight and South Coast Son. But now she is set to be our ‘most published’ author of the year, with two books already published in 2015, and a third to be released in November.
This year started with a bang for Claire, as January saw the release of Forever Ruby, a romance novel with a supernatural twist. All of Claire’s novels are set in the fictional town of South Coast, Australia, and so it is common for characters from one novel to crop up in another. Readers of Claire’s novels may have already met Ruby Edwards, but now she has her own novel, and her own story to tell.
In August, Claire’s second book of the year was released. Knowing Nora tells a story of first love and forbidden attraction as Nora Hadley finds herself drawn to her new English teacher. Everyone thinks they know Nora, as a responsible daughter, a student mature beyond her years, but now she is wondering if she even knows herself.
Now as we draw near to the end of the year, Claire has come full circle to return to where she began, with a sequel to Mistry by Moonlight. Midnight Mistry continues on the story of Taylor Mistry. Get ready to step into a supernatural world to encounter werewolves, vampires, grim reapers and banshees, but most of all, to encounter an epic love story between two, what should be, impossible lovers.
And Taylor’s story isn’t finished yet. The third book in the Mistry trilogy is under production, set to be released next year. Claire has also recently signed to have her seventh novel published with us with the intriguing title of A Lady Born, A Pirate Bred. Watch this space!
As well as writing fiction and working a day job, Claire finds time to write blog posts for sites such as FemaleFirst and LitPick. She runs facebook pages for all of her books.
