Halloween is not too far away now and we want to celebrate it by getting young people involved and having fun. We have decided to run a competition where young people can express their creative writing capabilities. Using the book, Flight of the Moose King, put your mind to the test and come up with a short story.
This Halloween something spooky’s on the way,
In the form of a book, it’s time to play!
Just get a copy of Flight of the Moose King,
And good fortune it may bring.
Just fill in the blank pages,
With stories and stages.
Send us the completed tale,
And a winner we will hail.
A printed book will be your prize,
But only for the tale that is clever and wise.
So, enter now and show us the very best,
Think of this as your Halloween quest!
Want to know more? You must be under the age of 16 and must be given permission by either a parent or guardian. No rude or obscene language, please try to keep it family-friendly! Other than that, feel free to come up with a short story on whatever topic you want!
