Anyone else feeling spooky? That’s right! The cosy comfort of Autumn may still blow on but in the dark of the night, something wicked this way comes… and it’s called our October Publication Day.
October 31st will see the release of a new collection of Pegasus, Vanguard and Nightingale titles – rather ironically, none of them being outright horrors – and we promise that they’re all treats, not tricks.
To navigate the cobwebs and the creeping fog, we’ve selected five upcoming titles which we think will comfort you from the scary mysteries of the Halloween night:

Before there were zombies and vampires terrorising readers, the horror tales of choice were set in the quiet corners of local towns, where secrets and mysteries lie, waiting to be discovered.
In the title village of Crow Hollow, a series of gruesome murders shatters the peaceful surroundings, unearthing a dark and hidden secret. A homicidal maniac, who plays a cat-and-mouse game with the justice system, brutally kills people and then mysteriously hides from the eyes of everyone.
With a sinister shadow cast over this once quiet and sleepy town, will the authorities be able to navigate the labyrinth of deception and lies and figure out the person behind these creepy murders?

The Dolphins of Cholla Bay by Troxell / Maney
Below the crystal blue surface, the ocean is dangerous to navigate, difficult to endure but nevertheless, ripe for adventure!
Experience an enchanting tale of family, adventure and important life lessons, in this compelling story of sea life and survival. Amongst the beautiful coral reefs, play alongside the dolphins of the Sea of Cortez and endure their struggles as the dangers of the natural world fight back.
Will Dylan and Daisy survive the hurricane at sea? Will Diego escape the dangers of the open water, out there all by himself? Time to dive in and find out!

Following Halliday’s meta-textual debut release earlier this year, his follow up builds on the artistic passions and historical fascinations of Marcel Proust, transporting readers from Blackpool in the 1950s to the Bal Proust in the early 1970s.
Readers should be prepared to sip from a potent cocktail of Proust, sex, drugs, haute couture, pop art, theatre, opera, ballet and photography, in a suave and thought-provoking novel. Follow Dolly Bird and Johnny Blackpool, two former lovers, on a quest to rediscover each other after being separated.
In a pompous and lavish global trip of romance, with an extensive cast of comic characters to meet along the way, where will Dolly and Johnny’s story end?

On the shores of the Dark Sea, in the small country of Adamantha, a magical barrier protects the world from an encroaching evil – and it is up to the unruly inhabitants of this unknown land to guard these magical portals.
Daniel Byne, heir to an ancient family of werewolves, goes in search of a missing guardian, as the protective barrier facing off against an evil invading force breaks down. Will an experience werewolf fighter have what it takes to resist the main weapon of their twisted enemy?
Helen Polsi’s flipped fantasy tale puts readers against mankind in a story of light and darkness, of love and hate and dedicated to those who love violets, werewolves, witches and parallel worlds.

Then Came Morning by James Grand
Set during Argentina’s infamous “Dirty War” of 1978, this tale follows the coup d'état of a ruthless military junta, who have plunged the nation into its darkest days. The Argentinian people are swept into a vortex of fear and suspicion.
Our story follows two young men, with little in common, but drawn together in the face of this political upheaval. Paul’s modest and naïve life is restricted; whilst Marco’s life of privilege ties him to the ruling regime.
Despite the clash of class and ideologies, their bond grows – until one afternoon where the unthinkable happens…
