As cliché as it sounds
Tell me you love me
That you need me
That you want me.
Say those pretty three words
Like a chant, a mantra
“I love you”
I’ll never hear those words enough.
As cliché as it is
Those are the words; I wish, you said
Early morning, late in bed
All those mundane moments filled with love are missed.
Like words; I wish you said
Like a chant; a mantra
Over and over again
Just to hear you, to know you are there.
“I will be by your side: always and forever”
Those are the words; I wish you said.
