Belinda Vale and Alex Foreman, the author of 'Passionate Intention' released their book in January 2020. We wanted to catch up with the new authors and see how life had been treating them since they were published.

  1.
  2.
  3. Did you always dream of becoming an author?

The possibility was always in my mind… ‘one day’.

  1. What was your first job?

My first job was a sales assistant in a shoe shop.

  1. How did you come about writing your book? Was that your intention or did you start writing for fun?

I was working as a ghostwriter and was contacted by a dyslexic person who asked me to help him to write a novel. We worked well together and have now become a writing partnership. My co-writer came up with the plot, then I put it into words, the book was the baby, and I was the midwife!

  1. What was your life like before you became an author?

Not so different – I was working as a ghostwriter, copy editor and proofreader.

  1. Did you face any struggles before becoming an author? If so, how did you overcome them?

I would say challenges rather than struggles, but these are what drives my creativity as well as my determination.

  1. Now that you are a published author, how has your life changed, if at all?

Nothing has changed as I am still working as before, but I have learned a great deal more about what is involved in publishing a book.

  1. Can you please describe a typical day in your life now?

Most days are working days, in which part of the morning is dealing with emails, enquiries, social media, etc. After a lunchtime walk with my dog, I am then back to my desk doing what I love most, writing or editing. I may finish at 7 pm or 9 pm or later. It just depends on what I am doing and how it is going.

  1. What is your most memorable moment of your life as an author?

Seeing the book in print for the first time.

  1. In a few words, how would you review your experience with Pegasus Publishers?

I have found everyone in the team at Pegasus to be friendly, helpful and supportive.

  1. Why did you choose Pegasus Publishers?

I approached them initially because they came across as not only being a very professional firm with more than twenty years’ experience, but they are also principled and concerned with maintaining standards in the publishing industry and not just out to make money, regardless.
