Uncle Corn Grain and the Windmill

Ana Goncalves

Once upon a time, there was a very beautiful red windmill set on the top of a hill where the wind blew strong. Uncle Corn Grain was the owner of the windmill, a miller by profession. The mill was regularly visited by the people who came to bring the sacks with the corn to be ground, and later they came to fetch the flour to make the cake and bread. Suddenly one day, the wind stopped and did not blow for many days. All the people in the neighbourhood were worried about what they would eat if they couldn't get their corn milled. How will they manage? Will the wind return soon before they run out of food?
