This and That

Ellis Janzon

This deeply personal collection of poems invites readers into the quiet, meaningful moments of ‎an ordinary life—where memory, nature, relationships, and reflection gently intertwine. ‎Through vivid storytelling and heartfelt honesty, the author explores themes of love, ageing, ‎loneliness, resilience, and the simple beauty found in everyday experiences.‎

From encounters with strangers to cherished family bonds, from the wisdom of growing older ‎to the comfort of animals and nature, each poem offers a glimpse into life’s emotional ‎landscape. There is humour, sorrow, tenderness, and insight—woven together with a calm, ‎observant voice that speaks directly to the reader’s heart.‎

Richly complemented by the author’s own illustrations, this collection is not only a literary ‎journey but also a visual one. It is a celebration of life as it is lived—imperfect, thoughtful, and ‎deeply human—reminding us that wisdom often lies in the smallest moments.‎
