Kim Smith

The story of Beowulf is not new; indeed it has been around for centuries. It started life as a captivating tale told around warming fires of Anglo-Saxon mead halls.

Sometime between 7th and 11th centuries the story was written as an epic alliterative poem and the most famous work of Anglo-Saxon literature.

This condensed version of a classic tale combined with unique illustrations, painted with natural pigments, help to convey the Saxon atmosphere to the reader.
