Silhouettes: Memories of a past life

Kama Poriot

Trauma can be many things and have many forms. Sometimes, it is not recognized for what it is until much later, when something happens that forces you too face it. What happens when you experience something that changes the way you understand everything about yourself? Growing up as the child of missionaries often meant being left behind while the parents took off into the distance, following a greater call. Questioning whether this was the right thing to do came later. Much later.

About Author

Kama Poriot

The author grew up as a missionary kid in Kenya, Iceland, and California, and is currently living in Denmark. Writing is a way to make sense of the strangeness of life. It is a way to take an experience, good or bad, and make it into something beautiful. Hopefully, the reader can find glimpses of this throughout the book.
