Gail Pattemore Sakai hails from Dartmouth, south Devon, but has spent her years away from that exquisitely historic place, returning with a heightened appreciation of the town when she can. South Africa, Japan, and now the US have been home for her since. Belatedly, she has found the writing of poetry as a welcome pleasure and one through which she can draw on experiences from her seventy-eight years in this world.
