Jeanne Barrett (she/her) is a creative professional with experience in theater, television production, photography and now… writing a children’s book!
“I’ve been writing in rhyme for as long as I can remember... making poems for friends and family—and my dream has been to publish a children’s book!”
Jeanne, a mom to three young adults, has been reading and telling stories to her kids all their lives. Being an avid theatre-goer, most stories would be acted out with enthusiasm!
“I’ve always loved kids. Several years ago, I worked with kindergartners. They enjoyed stories about animals! When I adopted Homer (now Kona) I knew I wanted to share his story - and a story in rhyme was the way to go!”
Since Jeanne’s three kids have moved out and are working, Jeanne has performed on the stage and had a role in a movie. She also just completed a documentary, which followed a talented team of young adults creating a musical for middle schoolers to perform. Jeanne loves taking photos and has been making nature photography cards for local shops in the Bay Area of CA for over 10 years. Married for 30 years to her college sweetheart, Jeanne is most grateful to her wonderful family and their constant support of her endeavors!
