Situated in picturesque countryside stand three chalets. The Flower family live in one with their cat whose best friend is a ferret. Holiday-makers occupy the other two chalets. There are Llamas in the adjoining field and meadows grazed by a herd of cows .The Ought-to-Know-Better-People in the City devise a plan to run freight trains across the land causing noise and pollution for the residents, who thwart the plan in imaginative and comical ways.
