Arrows of the Streets

Mohamad Ahmad

From the brutal diamond mines of Botswana to the drought-stricken villages of Somalia, Arrows of the Streets is a searing, cross-continental epic of trauma, survival, and the heavy price of freedom.

When teenage fugitives Kambali and Fareh survive a death-defying maritime escape to Manchester, they form an unbreakable brotherhood with Abano, a traumatized survivor of West African human trafficking. Operating as bicycle food couriers—the invisible, algorithmically exploited "arrows" of the modern gig economy—the trio navigates systemic corporate cruelty and treacherous winter streets.

Their lives are transformed by Carla, an enigmatic sociologist who mounts a relentless, global investigation to uncover Abano’s stolen past. Yet, on the precipice of a miraculous genetic reunion, an abrupt tragedy shatters their hard-won sanctuary. This devastating contemporary drama exposes the silent psychological toll of displacement, offering a fierce monument to the modern migrant working class.
