Neil McLocklin

Neil McLocklin was brought up in Dorset and now lives in the New Forest. He enjoyed visiting Corfe Castle as a child and continues to do so with his wife and grandchildren today. Having written A Nation in Ruins and A Nation Beheaded, he has enjoyed his ongoing research into the English Civil War in Hampshire and Dorset, regularly visiting Hurst Castle, Carisbrooke Castle and Mottisfont amongst other places. He regularly gives talks about the English Civil War—local people and places, across venues in Hampshire and Dorset.
