Tonya Maness has been a social worker for twenty-two years, working with the aging population. She has had the opportunity to work with hundreds of families as they learned to navigate the role of caregiving for a loved one with dementia. Tonya has had her own personal journey with caregiving and has struggled with handling the many emotions that come with this beautiful title. She is a graduate of N.C. State University with a BSW. She currently works as a financial advisor, assisting individuals to plan for their retirement and future healthcare needs. Tonya has been married for twenty-three years and has two daughters, age nineteen and twenty-one. Tonya believes that laughter is what gets you through the days of raising teenagers and caring for a loved one. She enjoys gardening, traveling, and empowering women to see the best in themselves and one another.
