Rosemary Embery grew up in Canberra, Australia but completed her BSc Hons degree in London where she lived and worked for 10 years. On returning to Australia she began her career in journalism and has for many years written on subjects as diverse as history, food, travel, motor racing, sailing and agriculture. She lives in Sydney with her journalist husband and has two sons and two cats.
