When I was 8 years old my teacher at the time said I would be a "late
developer ". I didn't realise quite how late a developer as an author I would be!
The idea came to me to write a children's book after being struck by the
amazing unique markings each zebra has, whilst I was on safari in Africa and
from also exploring difference.
I wrote the story while recovering from surgery to replace both my knees.
I wasn't mobile for a while but still needed to be creative. I believe the book will
be a fun story to read and help children understand it's ok to be different.
The aim of this book is to help young children to learn, understand and be accepting about being different and living in nature together contentedly.
