Rebecca Provan

Rebecca Provan's dog Poppy was the inspiration for the story
‘The Dog that wore a hat', after a rather unfortunate incident with
a Christmas costume one year. She lives with her husband and son
in rural New Zealand and uses the experiences of life in the country
and being a teacher of fourteen years to fuel her writing.
Rebecca comes from an interesting background in music, writing
for orchestra for a time as part of her career. She is a first-time
author and is passionate about writing entertaining children's
stories with interesting characters.
