A self-confessed gypsy at heart, Peter has worked as an engineer in The Arabian Gulf, USA and Far East.
In his mid-forties, he sold his house in Hong Kong, moved onto his 43' boat, and set off to fulfil his dream of sailing round the world. Nine years later he met the love of his life, Martine, and they sailed together across the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans for the next seven years.
Peter holds sailing qualifications as skipper, engineer and radio operator, and is a British Sub-Aqua Club (BSAC) advanced diving instructor.
In this amazing love story, d'Iffinger challenges us to re-evaluate previously accepted norms, and even taboos, as we follow the broad cast of characters through the moral maze that is life and love in the twenty-first century.
