Noreen Kemp was born in 1939 in Arbroath, Angus, Scotland, but, as her father was employed in the Jute Mills in Calcutta, she was brought up in India and was at school in Darjeeling. She met her husband in Calcutta, where he worked for the Chartered Bank. After their marriage, she accompanied him on his assignments overseas until his retirement in 1986. She now lives with her family in Dorset, England. This is her first book.
