Neil was born in Ryde on the Isle of Wight and joined the Royal Navy as a teenager. He moved up the ranks to Charge Chief and spent the last 6yrsof his naval career based in Gosport training engineers.He retired from the navy at 40.
These poems are just a small selection of his vast collection, written in the 90s for his young children Michael, Jim and Kitty.
Neil always loved language and words. These poems were a great way for him to explore , connect and educate his children in a fun and personal way.
As it turns out many adults also take great pleasure in hearing his play on words.
