The author lived and worked in Spain and London before moving to Dorset in 1996 where she now lives with her husband. When not working at her day job, she and her husband spend time in their house on the outskirts of Granada, Spain, practising the language with her Spanish neighbours, sometimes to their amusement but always with infinite kindness and patience.
