As a permanent resident in Germany, the ‎next trip to Great Britain was never far away and ‎close ties to the home country were upheld, whatever. ‎Inevitably, Brexit played a decisive role in this ‎development. However, feeling and seeing things as a ‎Brit never waned, but were ultimately complemented ‎by feeling, and seeing things, ever-increasingly, as a ‎European. In M.J.
