Liz Walder

Liz Walder is a medical writer by trade, who specialises in patient communication. With a PhD from the University of Edinburgh Medical School, an MSc in Immunology of Infectious Diseases from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and a BSc in Biology, Liz has always been fascinated by nature and the human body; especially how things work. This love of all thing's science, even the gross bits, inspired the creation of ‘The Professor Heart Adventures'.
Making science accessible is a passion of hers and is why she has also authored a series of books ‘Medical conditions...in plain English', aimed at patients.
Liz currently lives with her husband near Cambridge, with their daughter and their very fluffy cat, Willow.

About the illustrator
Louise Rowley is an experienced illustrator and graduate of Fine Art from the Glasgow School of Art. She combines her love for character development with both traditional and digital methods of image making. Louise works on a variety of creative briefs, from individual images and characters to more elaborate texts and stories requiring illustrative content; Sally Suitcase, Professor Heart, Alfred Crumb are just a few of the firework of characters up her sleeve!
In 2014, Louise published her debut children's book ‘What Time is it Julie Fitzgerald?', aimed at children aged 3-5.
She lives in York with her partner and her rescue cat Monkey.

Books
