Linda Mason, born in the West Midlands in 1952, is one of six siblings, and has a large family of her own. She is a grandmother and great-grandmother. She has a diploma in nursery nursing, and progressed in later life as a highly qualified care manager for the elderly, before losing her sight to glaucoma. She now devotes much of her time to her garden and to her writing, and hopes that Dolly and her friends capture the enjoyment of the young... and the young at heart, as much as she enjoyed writing it.
