Laura Roybal has a Bachelor's in English and history from New ‎Mexico Highlands University and a Master's in Theology from the ‎Franciscan University of Steubenville, Ohio. Her three previous ‎novels, Billy, Dear Bobby, and Blood Brothers, are young adult ‎novels. She has three children, sixteen grandchildren, and two ‎‎"honorary" grandchildren. She lives with her husband, Richard, on a ‎small ranch in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains north of Santa Fe, New ‎Mexico.‎
