KJ MacMillan lives in Glasgow with his wife, Lesley. He grew up on the west coast of Scotland in Oban before going to Heriot-Watt University and completing a chemical engineering degree. He has spent the last twenty-three years working in the telecoms and cyber security industry before embarking on writing his first book.
