Kathleen Yeomans is a devoted mother of three and grandmother of three. Kathleen lives in Macedon with her husband and is a retired hairdresser.
Inspired by her late Labrador-Shepherd mix, Claudio, who was gifted to her and her husband by their son Patrick, Kathleen began writing a children’s book after Claudio’s passing in 2024 to celebrate the love between pets and their owners.
In collaboration with her artist daughter-in-law, Hannah, they aim to capture the joy and companionship Claudio brought to their lives over fourteen years, sharing the bittersweet experience of growing older and the enduring bonds formed with pets.
About the Illustrator
Hannah Yeomans is a versatile artist who is proficient in multiple media techniques and loves creating illustrations using her iPad and Apple Pencil. She earned a Graphic Design degree from The Art Institute of Colorado in 2014.
In 2017, she met Kathleen’s son, Patrick, and they quickly bonded over their shared affection for dogs. Hannah holds a special place in her heart for Claudio, and she aspires to honor his memory through illustrations in I Want To Be A Puppy Again.
Hannah and Patrick got married in 2023 and have since adopted three wonderful dogs. Anticipating the arrival of their first child in 2026, Hannah aims to capture the joy that books can inspire in children and the unconditional love that dogs bring into our lives.
