K. Nieber is a mother of three children, one biological son and two "heart" daughters adopted from China. She has published magazine articles and classroom curricula about adoption. Gingko Finds Her Forever Home is her debut book. A retired school counselor, she lives with her husband Richard in Middleton, Wisconsin, USA.
