A native of Lowell, Massachusetts, James Grand has lived mostly in New York City and Southern California. Winning a national creative writing competition while in law school encouraged him to consider an idea for a novel - a form of writing far from the legal briefs and formalities of his profession. It was during his first visit to Buenos Aires that he was inspired to tell the story of "Then Came Morning." James and his husband, Stephen, now enjoy life in Rancho Mirage, California.
