About

Helen Renton

My childhood was spent roaming carefree in the ‎countryside. As an adult, there have been the ‎inevitable ups and downs that life brings, however, ‎at an early age, I found that writing helped me put ‎my worries into perspective. I first remember writing ‎a short story after we moved house and I missed ‎those we had left behind. That story was published ‎in a newspaper, and I remember well the excitement ‎of reading it with my mother. From then on, I've ‎written short stories and poems, mainly when I'm ‎finding life a bit overwhelming; I find writing ‎therapeutic.‎
