My childhood was spent roaming carefree in the countryside. As an adult, there have been the inevitable ups and downs that life brings, however, at an early age, I found that writing helped me put my worries into perspective. I first remember writing a short story after we moved house and I missed those we had left behind. That story was published in a newspaper, and I remember well the excitement of reading it with my mother. From then on, I've written short stories and poems, mainly when I'm finding life a bit overwhelming; I find writing therapeutic.
Remember When... a wistful look back to bygone days when life felt carefree, a reminder of times when life felt out of control and the emotions evoked during those more difficult times, and finally, a reminder that unexpected events and thoughts can turn things around
