Harry McCallion served for seven years in the Parachute Regiment, two years in No. 1 Reconnaissance Commando (SADF) and six years with the 22nd Special Air Service. On leaving the British army, Harry joined the Royal Ulster Constabulary and served for eight years until his police career was cut short by a near fatal road traffic accident. Harry then went to university and studied law. After passing his degree he was called to the Bar in October 1995. Harry is still a practising barrister and author in Liverpool.
