Graham was born in Derby, England, in 1948. He completed an engineering apprenticeship with Rolls Royce, but the company went into voluntary liquidation in 1970, which caused a change in his career path. He married Ann in 1972, and they set up a home in Buckinghamshire, then Farnborough, Hants, handy commuting distances from London. They raised their two children there, Julie and David, and eventually, Graham set up his own air conditioning company. This was very successful, but as retirement approached, he spent time writing the novel he always thought he had in him. Blood of Your Hero is the result.
