Gerard Taylor

I struggled to nail down a career track, and embarked on a Navy career and flew as an aircrewman in Desert Storm and later in Yugoslavia and survived a plane crash. After the military, I settled in Sweden where I met Camilla a wonderful woman to whom I am very happily wed. In my time in Sweden, I developed an interest in Swedish Vikings and their doings in the east and so with Camilla's encouragement I turned to writing. I have touched Viking runestones, travelled to Birka and Istanbul to feel the pulse of each place.
