Gaye retired from the University of Dundee in 2020 after a long career in higher education. She lives in Dundee with her husband and they enjoy travelling Scotland in their motorhome. She is involved in voluntary work linked to resilience and wellbeing. Her other interests include reading, writing, theatre, nature, cats and social history.
As well as academic writings, she has also had two non-fiction books published. They are "Waiting in the Wings: Letters of a Pilot in A World War II" (2021) and "Learning My Living: Reflections on Teaching in Higher Education for Over Fifty Years" (2022), both from Extremis Publishing.
This is a poetry book with a difference. I believe that reading and writing poetry are really good for wellbeing and I want to encourage the practice. My book contains a selection of my poems written over many years in various styles and formats and covering many topics.
