The Big Bad Beast
In the quiet village of Genzai, thirteen-year-old Scarlett has never truly belonged. With fiery red eyes and snow-white hair, she’s always been told she carries a curse – a warning whispered by her guardian, Hern. But when a brutal murder rips through the community, the fragile peace shatters, and the villagers’ hidden fear and hatred for those unlike them comes violently to light. In the chaos, Scarlett learns the truth: she is no cursed child, but a Lycan, with the spirit of a wolf living inside her. Branded a danger by the people she once called neighbours, Scarlett is forced to run with her closest friend, Goldine, the only person who has never doubted her. Their escape leads them into a wider, darker world of cunning bounty hunters, ancient goblins, and powerful witches – where danger hides behind every promise of safety. To survive, Scarlett must unmask the real killer, uncover the secrets buried in her past, and face the hardest question of all: is the wolf within her something to fear… or something that could save her?
