Denis Dwyer was born in Oamaru, New Zealand in 1943. He lives now in Palmerston North with his wife, Dale. They have travelled extensively in Australasia, Europe and America, both on their own and as group tourists. His books include New Zealand On Foot, New Zealand Adventures By Rail and the biographies Black Jersey, Silver Fern and The Good Citizen.
