This is my first book and the idea came to me when I befriended a stray cat at my allotment. Eventually I took her home and named her Lottie.
As she settled in, I often wondered what her life was like before we met, and this became the inspiration for my story. Along with the imagination of my seven-year-old niece Jessica, the story came alive and was eventually created.
