Deborah Priddle

 

Deborah had been promising that she would write this book, inspired by her daughter’s adorable mis-pronunciations of words, for more than 40 years. On retiring in 2025 after 50 years working in Wills and Probate, she was reminded that she no longer had any excuses for putting it off!

Prompted by the memories of the adorable muddle of words such as ‘butter-fi- lye’, and echoes of the same from her grandsons and granddaughters (“I pomise”) she eventually put pen to paper and ‘Spoonerisms. Let’s play with words’  the result.

Deborah hopes that the book will remind parents of those exquisite little muddles that we NEVER forget and that this book will bring the same joy to them as it does to her.

 

Deborah Priddle lives close to her family in beautiful rural Devonshire where she enjoys gardening, crafts and painting (the latter rather poorly!)
