A.J. Harman grew up in Surrey where he later studied graphic design and illustration. Having worked for a time in London and Manchester in the design industry he went solo, working freelance. After years of deadlines he retired from the madness and took up gardening which he now does professionally. The winter months allow him to continue with his illustration work and pursue his passion for writing. He now lives in Cheshire with his partner.
