When his wife, Lara, disappears the day after their wedding day, Tristan finds himself in a dark spiral of depression. A year after her disappearance he plans on ending his own life when a letter arrives out of the blue from Lara. In a desperate attempt to find her he finds himself hospitalised, chased down by police, and interrogated only to find out that she's not on Earth, she's on a planet called Macro. With an evil force threatening our entire universe, who is going to stop it? Surely a sad, desperate, helpless human being can't do anything about it. Tristan must travel through our vastly populated solar system to find Lara, accompanied by one of the strangest, utterly bizarre people he has ever met. But how has Lara ended up on Macro?
