The Night We Saved The Moon

Be Free Campaign

One night, Josh, Rose and Julia are stargazing with Grampa, when they spot something different about the sky... the moon has lost its light! The children decide to help return the glow to the moon and set out on an epic adventure where they discover lots about themselves and one another... Will they be able to help the moon glow brightly again? This is an adventure book - but it is also a guide to how we feel, how we treat people, and ways to help one another shine. At the back of this book, there is a Guardian Guide you can use to engage with the book, explore your feelings and discover fun ways to feel better and connect with your friends and family.

Kimberley’s work is playful and vibrant, filled with bold colours and dynamic textures, but it also carries deeper threads: connections between past and present, land and sky, myth and memory. At the heart of her illustrations is a desire to teach children about values, kindness, and the lessons of life; reminding readers that stories don’t just entertain, they guide us too.
