Anita lives in South Gloucestershire and is a retired teacher. Anita began writing after the passing of her husband Craig from motor neurone disease in 2022. The stories came about because Craig used to tell her stories at night when she couldn't sleep. After Craig's passing Anita started making up her own stories. These stories were inspired by a visit to one of England's oldest trees. It was enormous, with huge sprawling roots. Anita began to imagine small people living amongst the roots and the idea of the Under Tree folk was born. Since then Anita has written many stories about their life and adventures. Some of the proceeds for the sale of this book will go to the motor neurone disease association to further research into this cruel disease.
