Melissa Boot

Melissa Boot was born in Cambridge New Zealand in 1966. Her mother was an artist who introduced Melissa to the skill of capturing the beauty of landscape and animals in her art. As a young child she would listen to the children's show on the radio every Sunday Morning. With stories like Spike Milligan's, Bad Jelly the Witch, The Billy Goats Gruff, Rindacella and Peter and the Wolf being her favourite. This sparked her child's story telling imagination and developed her passion for books, her love of reading, writing and combining her love of art.
