I.D.C. Hopkins
Ian juggled writing with working as an industrial engineer, an accountant, a university lecturer, an advertising copywriter and running his own management consultancy for 25 years, before ‘retiring' at 50... long, long ago.
His 40 years' contracted writing includes:
Television - Not the Nine O'Clock News, Naked Video and Spitting Image.
Radio - Naked Radio, Six of the Best.
Stage - 3 plays performed.
Novels - With John Duignan the trilogy Skelp the Aged; The Buick Stops Here; The Lambshank Redemption, all published by Pegasus
His current ‘retired' work includes a recently completed comedy stage play, Good Times, co-scripted by Niall Clark, and his magnum and minimum opus, The Timing of Pain and Drumhumble - one darkly comedic the latter satirical.
He also golfs (now extremely badly), still gardens (reasonably well) and plays almost respectable guitar with, as ever, execrable vocal accompaniment.
