Gail Nyoka travelled solo to Egypt, a place that has always intrigued her. She has lived in many places: born in Trinidad, raised in England and Wales, and finally settling in Ontario, Canada.
A playwright, writer and oral storyteller, she studied at the University of Ottawa, was awarded the Chalmers Canadian Play Award for Theatre for Young Audiences, and was a Nord Foundation Playwright Fellow at Cleveland Public Theatre. She now divides her time between Ontario and Ohio.
What do you see when you look in the mirror? For schoolgirls Vida and Sammi, it is a very special mirror with a very different reflection, for they can see life in Ancient Egypt.
